ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,498,509, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Northern Digital Inc. (Waterloo, Canada).

"Retro-reflective disc target having exposed retro-reflective beads" was invented by Larry Chen (Fergus, Canada), David Willms (Waterloo, Canada), Athanasios Tommy Balkos (Waterloo, Canada) and Shaulaine White (Cambridge, Canada).
