ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,344,748, issued on July 1, was assigned to NORSE BIOTECH AS (Norway).
"Carbon black from biomass" was invented by Ray W Chrisman (Midland, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A process for making carbon black is described by pyrolizing unsulfonated lignin or by pyrolizing aromatic monomers formed by hydrolyzing a biomass comprising unsulfonated lignin."
The patent was filed on Dec. 13, 2019, under Application No. 17/311,327.
