US Patent Issued to Nokia Technologies on July 15 for "Beam prediction for wireless networks" (New Jersey Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,362,785, issued on July 15, was assigned to Nokia Technologies Oy (Espoo, Finland).

"Beam prediction for wireless networks" was invented by Aliye Ozge Kaya (Chatham, N.J.) and Harish Viswanathan (Morristown, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "According to an example embodiment, a method may include determining, by a base station, a past beam sequence for a user equipment (UE), determining, by the base station based on the past beam sequence for the user equipment and a beam sequence model, a predicted future beam sequence for the user equipment, wherein the predicted future beam sequence indicates a predicted sequence of beams over time...
