ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,363,698, issued on July 15, was assigned to Nokia Technologies Oy (Espoo, Finland).

"Apparatus, method, and computer program" was invented by Matha Deghel (Paris), Emad Farag (Flanders, N.J.), Frank Frederiksen (Klarup, Denmark) and Zexian Li (Espoo, Finland).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method comprises causing a message to be transmitted from a communications device to a transmission reception point during a random access procedure. The message comprises information identifying a plurality of different beam directions. The method further comprises receiving a response to the message from a plurality of different beam directions."
