US Patent Issued to NOK on Sept. 9 for "NBR composition" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,410,307, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to NOK Corp. (Tokyo).

"NBR composition" was invented by Michiyo Hirayama (Kumamoto, Japan), Hideto Komurasaki (Kumamoto, Japan) and Keisuke Takahashi (Kumamoto, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An NBR composition that includes, based on 100 parts by weight of NBR, 0.2 to 0.7 parts by weight, preferably 0.2 to 0.5 parts by weight, of stearic acid, and paraffin wax, which has the melting start temperature of 65deg C., in an amount equal to 2 to 6 times the amount of said stearic acid, and preferably further zinc oxide and a UV resistant antioxidant.
