ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,343,958, issued on July 1, was assigned to NOK Corp. (Tokyo).
"Rubber-metal laminate and gasket" was invented by Isao Watanabe (Fukushima, Japan), Ryota Shimura (Fukushima, Japan) and Daiki Takekawa (Kanagawa, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A rubber-metal laminate that includes a metal member; and a rubber layer provided on the metal member, wherein the rubber layer has a 100%-modulus value in accordance with JIS K6251 of 8.5 MPa or more and a thickness of 80 micro metre or more. A gasket that includes the rubber-metal laminate."
The patent was filed on Feb. 24, 2021, under Application No. 17/912,322.
