ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,325,656, issued on June 10, was assigned to NITTO DENKO Corp. (Ibaraki, Japan).
"Method of manufacturing glass film" was invented by Takeshi Murashige (Osaka, Japan) and Satoru Koshio (Osaka, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of manufacturing a glass film using a roll-to-roll process in which a long glass film from a feed roll is wound on a winding roll through a plurality of steps, the plurality of steps comprising: a step of cutting the glass film along a feed direction at a predetermined position in a width direction; and a step of polishing cutting surfaces of glass films into which the glass film is cut."
