ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,319,048, issued on June 3, was assigned to NITTO DENKO Corp. (Osaka, Japan) and NITTO INC. (Lakewood, N.J.).
"Sheet, moisture-proof method of adherend using the sheet and corrosion-proof method of metal plate using the sheet" was invented by Derek Jorgensen (Lakewood, N.J.), Shinji Hoshino (Osaka, Japan), Yu-chu Chen (Lakewood, N.J.) and Masatoshi Suzuki (Osaka, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides a sheet having an elastomer layer having a Shore A hardness of less than 40, wherein the elastomer layer has an adhesion force to stainless steel of not more than 11 oz/in at 90 degree peel strength."
