ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,420,963, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE Corp. (Tokyo).

"Storage device, unmanned aerial vehicle, and system" was invented by Yujin Hamano (Tokyo), Atsushi Aratake (Tokyo), Yosuke Sakurada (Tokyo), Daisuke Uchibori (Tokyo) and Kazuaki Watanabe (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A storage device (10) that stores an unmanned aerial vehicle (30) includes a gripping portion (11) for gripping the unmanned aerial vehicle (30), and a main body portion (10) having a suction surface (21) to which an upper surface (313) of the unmanned aerial vehicle (30) is suctioned."
