ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,242,125, issued on March 4, was assigned to NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE Corp. (Tokyo).

"Optical cable laying method" was invented by Yusuke Yamada (Musashino, Japan), Akira Sakurai (Musashino, Japan), Yuta Maruo (Musashino, Japan), Shigekatsu Tetsutani (Musashino, Japan), Hisashi Izumita (Musashino, Japan) and Hiroaki Tanioka (Musashino, Japan).
