ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,435,382, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to NIPPON STEEL Corp. (Tokyo).
"Hot-rolled steel sheet" was invented by Hiroshi Shuto (Tokyo), Kazumasa Tsutsui (Tokyo), Jun Ando (Tokyo), Koutarou Hayashi (Tokyo), Akifumi Sakakibara (Tokyo) and Shunsuke Kobayashi (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This hot-rolled steel sheet has a predetermined chemical composition, in which a metallographic structure contains, by area %, less than 3.0% of residual austenite, 15.0% or more and less than 60.0% of ferrite, and less than 5.0% of pearlite, has a ratio L60/L7 of a length L60 of a grain boundary having a crystal misorientation of 60deg to a length L7...
