ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,448,322, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Nippon Sheet Glass Co. Ltd. (Tokyo).
"Glass composition, glass sheet, and vehicle window including glass sheet" was invented by Hiromitsu Seto (Hyogo, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to an ultraviolet-shielding glass sheet including a glass composition based on soda-lime glass, the glass composition containing iron oxide and TiO2 as coloring components. The glass sheet has a thickness of 1 to 5 mm, and an ultraviolet transmittance (Tuv 380) as determined at the thickness according to ISO 9050:1990 is 1.5% or less."
