US Patent Issued to Nippon Kayaku on May 6 for "Polarized light-emitting film containing water-soluble coumarin compound or salt thereof, polarized light-emitting plate, and display device" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,292,589, issued on May 6, was assigned to Nippon Kayaku K.K. (Tokyo).

"Polarized light-emitting film containing water-soluble coumarin compound or salt thereof, polarized light-emitting plate, and display device" was invented by Ryoutarou Morita (Tokyo) and Noriaki Mochizuki (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This polarized light-emitting film contains a water-soluble coumarin compound represented by formula (1) (in formula (1), A represents an optionally substituted coumarin skeleton, X represents a sulfo group or a carboxyl group, and n represents an integer of 1 to 3.) or a salt thereof."
