US Patent Issued to NIPPON ELECTRIC GLASS on Sept. 23 for "ATR prism and method of manufacturing ATR prism" (Japanese Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,422,598, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to NIPPON ELECTRIC GLASS Co. LTD. (Shiga, Japan).

"ATR prism and method of manufacturing ATR prism" was invented by Mitsuru Tomita (Shiga, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is an ATR prism, including glass having an internal transmittance of 90% or higher at a wavelength falling within a wavelength range of from 8 micro metre to 10 micro metre when the glass has a thickness of 2 mm."
