ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,441,653, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to NIPPON ELECTRIC GLASS Co. LTD. (Shiga, Japan).
"Alkali-free glass plate" was invented by Mayu Nishimiya (Shiga, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides an alkali-free glass sheet, which has a content of Li2O+Na2O+K2O of from 0 mol % to 0.5 mol % in a glass composition, and has a Young's modulus of 78 GPa or more, a strain point of 680deg C. or more, and a liquidus temperature of 1,450deg C. or less."
The patent was filed on Oct. 7, 2019, under Application No. 17/284,917.
