ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,338,170, issued on June 24, was assigned to NIPPON ELECTRIC GLASS Co. LTD. (Otsu, Japan).

"Glass powder and sealing material using same" was invented by Toru Shiragami (Otsu, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A glass powder contains, as a glass composition, TeO2 of 15 mol % to 65 mol %, MoO3 of 10 mol % to 60 mol %, and P2O5 of 1 mol % to 35 mol %, and is substantially free of PbO."

The patent was filed on Dec. 19, 2019, under Application No. 17/425,067.
