ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,408,714, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to NIKE Inc. (Beaverton, Ore.).

"Textiles and garments having thermoreflective material" was invented by Daniel Morgan (Beaverton, Ore.) and Christopher J. Ranalli (Beaverton, Ore.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aspects herein are directed to a textile comprising at least one compressed portion, at least one uncompressed portion, and a deposit of thermo-reflective material on at least the compressed portion. Other aspects herein are directed to a method of manufacturing a textile or garment having a deposit of thermo-reflective material."
