US Patent Issued to NIBCO on Nov. 18 for "Serviceable swing check valve with integrated strainer and removable drain" (Indiana Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,473,989, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to NIBCO Inc. (Elkhart, Ind.).

"Serviceable swing check valve with integrated strainer and removable drain" was invented by Christopher W. Mason (Granger, Ind.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A serviceable swing check valve assembly includes an access port for servicing the swing check valve. The valve assembly also includes a strainer that strains the fluid before it reaches the swing check valve. A valve assembly is positioned adjacent to a drain port to drain the debris that is collected by the strainer."
