ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,223,509, issued on Feb. 11, was assigned to Nextiva Inc. (Scottsdale, Ariz.).

"Customer management system" was invented by Tomas Gorny (Scottsdale, Ariz.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system and method are disclosed for scoring an interaction over one or more channels by an end user and an entity by monitoring the communications over the channels and assigning penalties and scores based on topics associated with the communications."

The patent was filed on Feb. 7, 2024, under Application No. 18/435,408.
