US Patent Issued to NEXANS on July 1 for "Dynamic cables with fibre reinforced thermoplastic composite sheath" (Norwegian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,347,589, issued on July 1, was assigned to NEXANS (Courbevoie, France).

"Dynamic cables with fibre reinforced thermoplastic composite sheath" was invented by Karl Magnus Bengtsson (Oslo, Norway), Audun Johanson (Oslo, Norway) and Anton Akulichev (Halden, Norway).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dynamic power cable or power cables for submarine applications has at least one extruded fibre reinforced thermoplastic composite core sheath arranged radially around a water barrier sheath."
