ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,459,766, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to NCR Atleos Corp. (Atlanta).

"Adaptive pressure media feeding" was invented by Jason Michael Gillier (Waterloo, Canada), Matthew Sonnenberg (Kitchener, Canada) and Benjamin T. Widsten (Kitchener, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A tiltenator of a media separator module (integrated within a valuable media depository) adaptively controls pressure maintained against a bunch of media as individual items from the bunch are fed through the media separator module."

The patent was filed on March 20, 2024, under Application No. 18/611,285.
