ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,509,723, issued on Dec. 30, was assigned to NCAN GENOMICS INC. (Vancouver, Canada).

"Methods of sequencing with linked fragments" was invented by Milenko Despotovic (Richmond, Canada), Joel Pel (Vancouver, Canada) and Andrea Marziali (North Vancouver, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention generally relates to sequencing library preparation methods.
