ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,351,645, issued on July 8, was assigned to NAVI BIO-THERAPEUTICIS INC. (Kaohsiung, Taiwan).
"Anti-carbonic anhydrase IX antibody" was invented by Bor-Yu Tsai (New Taipei, Taiwan) and Wei-Ting Hsu (Taipei, Taiwan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to epitopes located in CAIX and anti-CAIX antibodies having binding activity with cancer cells. The present invention also relates to the composition and application of the CAIX epitopes and anti-CAIX antibodies in the diagnosis, prevention and/or treatment of cancers."
The patent was filed on May 6, 2019, under Application No. 17/051,635.
