US Patent Issued to Natural Extraction Systems on Aug. 19 for "Biphasic compositions comprising one or both of carbonate and phosphate" (Colorado Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,390,418, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to Natural Extraction Systems LLC (Boulder, Colo.).

"Biphasic compositions comprising one or both of carbonate and phosphate" was invented by C. Russell Thomas (Boulder, Colo.) and Douglas G. Metcalf (Boulder, Colo.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Various aspects of this disclosure relate to biphasic compositions comprising one or both of solid-phase carbonate and solid-phase phosphate, which are capable of buffering a liquid phase to stabilize a liquid-phase anion."

The patent was filed on Oct. 11, 2022, under Application No. 18/700,209.
