ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,344,841, issued on July 1, was assigned to National University Corporation Tokyo Medical and Dental University (Tokyo) and Osaka University (Osaka, Japan).

"Chimeric double-stranded nucleic acid" was invented by Takanori Yokota (Tokyo), Kazutaka Nishina (Tokyo), Satoshi Obika (Osaka, Japan) and Hidehiro Mizusawa (Tokyo).
