ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,331,384, issued on June 17, was assigned to National Technology & Engineering Solutions of Sandia LLC (Albuquerque, N.M.).
"High entropy alloys, refractory high entropy alloys, methods of selecting and making, and structures formed thereof" was invented by Salvador B. Rodriguez (Albuquerque, N.M.), Andrew Kustas (Elizabeth, Colo.) and David Ames (Albuquerque, N.M.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure is directed to novel high entropy alloys, including refractory high entropy alloys, and methods of selecting high entropy alloys and refractory high entropy alloys with select nuclear application predetermined properties."
