ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,498,505, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to NATIONAL TAIWAN UNIVERSITY (Taipei, Taiwan).

"Mesoscale nonlinear optical gigascope system with real-time gigapixel mosaic-stitching and digital display" was invented by Chi-Kuang Sun (Taipei, Taiwan) and Bhaskar Jyoti Borah (Taipei, Taiwan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A mesoscale nonlinear optical gigascope (mNLOG) system is provided to assist with rapid gigapixel resonant-raster laser-scanning and post-processing-free digital display of a centimeter-scale biological specimen in real-time.
