ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,470,305, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to Nanofiber Quantum Technologies Inc. (Tokyo).

"Quantum repeater for optical network and method" was invented by Akihisa Goban (Tokyo), Shinya Kato (Tokyo), Ryotaro Inoue (Tokyo) and Takao Aoki (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In an example, the present invention provides a quantum repeater system and its application to quantum network. The quantum repeater system includes a nano-fiber based quantum computer device."

The patent was filed on July 7, 2023, under Application No. 18/348,603.
