ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,462,962, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to MURATA MANUFACTURING Co. LTD. (Kyoto, Japan).
"Surface-mounted magnetic-component module" was invented by Lee Francis (Milton Keynes, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A magnetic-component module includes a first header, a core on the first header, and a winding including a first trace on the first header. The first header includes a disc-shaped portion that supports the core and a cylinder-shaped portion that receives a hole of the core."
