ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,267,061, issued on April 1, was assigned to MURATA MANUFACTURING Co. LTD. (Kyoto, Japan).

"Surface acoustic wave device" was invented by Naoki Daimon (Nagaokakyo, Japan), Taku Kikuchi (Nagaokakyo, Japan) and Osamu Shimono (Nagaokakyo, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A surface acoustic wave device includes a piezoelectric substrate including principal surfaces and an IDT electrode on a first principal surface side of the principal surfaces, and the first principal surface is a polarization positive potential surface of the piezoelectric substrate."

The patent was filed on Aug. 19, 2021, under Application No. 17/406,127.
