ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,249,187, issued on March 11, was assigned to Municipal Parking Services Inc. (Minnetonka, Minn.).

"Parking meter system" was invented by Thomas G. Hudson (Tonka Bay, Minn.), Joseph M. Caldwell (Chanhassen, Minn.) and Richard C. Gage (Orono, Minn.).
