US Patent Issued to Movellus Circuits on Feb. 3 for "Timing margin sensor" (Canadian, American Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,542,546, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to Movellus Circuits Inc. (Ann Arbor, Mich.).

"Timing margin sensor" was invented by Marcus Van Ierssel (Toronto) and Jeffrey Alan Fredenburg (Chicago).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A timing margin sensor includes a delay circuit to generate a calibrated delay that corresponds to a known delay value of a logic circuit. Circuitry locks a first delay produced by the delay circuit to a clock period of a clock signal that is associated with the known delay value.
