ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,398,251, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to MONOSOL LLC (Merrillville, Ind.).

"Water soluble unit dose film for packaging harsh chemicals" was invented by Jonathon Knight (Laporte, Ind.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are water-soluble films and/or water soluble unit dose articles comprising a water soluble mixture comprising a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) and a polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), and methods of making and using the same."

The patent was filed on Sept. 30, 2020, under Application No. 17/763,619.
