ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,492,372, issued on Dec. 9, was assigned to Monash University (Clayton, Australia).
"Induced stem cells" was invented by Jose Polo (Clayton, Australia), Xiaodong Liu (Clayton, Australia) and Jia Ping Tan (Clayton, Australia).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to stem cells derived from a multi-layered cellular structure or blastocyst structure, compositions comprising the same, and methods for obtaining the same."
The patent was filed on Nov. 24, 2021, under Application No. 17/534,594.
