ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,338,039, issued on June 24, was assigned to MOLTZAU PACKAGING AS (Skedsmokorset, Norway).

"Cardboard box for holding content, and a method for using such" was invented by Eirik Faukland (Skedsmokorset, Norway).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure relates to a cardboard box for holding content comprising liquid and/or gas. The box comprising: 3 or more side walls and a bottom side, a layer of liquid and/or gas non-permeable coating, every side wall having on its upper end a brim/collar area, the brim/collar area being folded to form an unbroken encircling receiving surface for attaching a lid foil."
