ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,328,812, issued on June 10, was assigned to Molex LLC (Lisle, Ill.).

"Connector and printed circuit board with surface ground plane" was invented by Peerouz Amleshi (Lisle, Ill.), Pu Xie (Naperville, Ill.), David L. Brunker (Naperville, Ill.), Timothy R. McClelland (Bolingbrook, Ill.) and Teng-Kai Chen (San Jose, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Connector (1300) and printed circuit board combinations include opposing electrical ground structures that increase electrical coupling. The combinations also reduce unwanted crosstalk between signals in a printed circuit board."
