ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,318,443, issued on June 3, was assigned to ModernaTX Inc. (Cambridge, Mass.).
"Influenza vaccine" was invented by Giuseppe Ciaramella (Cambridge, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to compositions and methods for the preparation, manufacture and therapeutic use ribonucleic acid vaccines comprising polynucleotide molecules encoding one or more influenza antigens, such as hemagglutinin antigens."
The patent was filed on May 24, 2023, under Application No. 18/322,831.
