ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,329,811, issued on June 17, was assigned to ModernaTX Inc. (Cambridge, Mass.).

"Seasonal RNA influenza virus vaccines" was invented by Raffael Nachbagauer (Cambridge, Mass.), Carole Henry (Cambridge, Mass.) and Patricia Jorquera (Cambridge, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure provides RNA vaccines for seasonal influenza virus as well as methods of using the vaccines."

The patent was filed on Jan. 10, 2022, under Application No. 17/572,465.
