ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,813, issued on April 15, was assigned to MITSUI CHEMICALS INC. (Tokyo).
"Polymerizable composition for optical materials and application of same" was invented by Nigel Ribeiro (Omuta, Japan), Hongbo Wang (Singapore) and Yixi Lin (Singapore).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The polymerizable composition for optical materials of the present invention includes a polyester polyol (a), a compound (b) of which light absorption characteristics vary by sensing changes in environment; and a polymerization reactive compound (c)."
The patent was filed on Dec. 14, 2018, under Application No. 16/771,788.
