ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,463,743, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Mitre Corp. (Bedford, Mass.).

"Multi-layer forward error correction (FEC) for jamming resiliency" was invented by Alex E. Raj (Bedford, Mass.), Wade E. Daugherty (Bedford, Mass.) and Lucas Lam (Bedford, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Interference signals are detected in a multi-layer wireless communication systems, which have a frequency spectrum that is captured by using a spectrum analyzer.
