ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,383,107, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to Mirka Ltd (Jepua, Finland).

"Dust extractor" was invented by Tommy Linqvist (Nykarleby, Finland), Jan-Anders Westerlund (Jakobstad, Finland), Mikael Haggblom (Vasa, Finland) and Alexander Hede (Vora, Finland).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dust extractor device that includes: a fan for causing an air flow, a motor to rotate the fan, a dust separator to separate dust particles from the air flow, a flow measuring unit for measuring air flow rate of the air flow, and a control unit configured to adjust electric power of the motor based on the measured air flow rate."
