ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,752, issued on May 27, was assigned to MILWAUKEE ELECTRIC TOOL Corp. (Brookfield, Wis.).
"Plate compactor" was invented by Evan M. Glanzer (Milwaukee) and John E. Koller (Brookfield, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A compactor includes a plate and an electric motor coupled to the plate and configured to impart vibration thereto. The electric motor including a stator and a rotor defining a rotational axis and having a center of mass that is not intersected by the rotational axis."
The patent was filed on July 7, 2021, under Application No. 17/369,502.
