ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,535,317, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp. (Brookfield, Wis.).
"Level with magnetic coupling" was invented by Richard J. LaSota (Pewaukee, Wis.), Timothy Allen Schultz (New Berlin, Wis.), Christopher Frederick Boehme (Pewaukee, Wis.) and Adam Christopher Resnick (Cambridge, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A tool, such as a level, including one or more magnetic coupling device is provided. The magnetic coupling device may be a magnetic circuit including metal components surrounding a magnet, such as a permanent rare-earth magnet."
