ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,394,849, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp. (Brookfield, Wis.).
"Power tool and battery pack for use with the same" was invented by Kyle J. Radovich (West Bend, Wis.), James P. Elfering (Antioch, Ill.), Zoe L. Hinton (Milwaukee) and Terry L. Timmons (Oconomowoc, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A battery pack for use with a power tool and including a housing having an internal cavity in which one or more battery cells are supported.
