ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,253,301, issued on March 18, was assigned to MIDEA GROUP Co. LTD. (Guangdong, China).

"Refrigerator with quick fill dispenser incorporating removable fluid storage receptacle" was invented by Eric Scalf (Louisville, Ky.).
