ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,257,370, issued on March 25, was assigned to MicroVention Inc. (Aliso Viejo, Calif.).

"Coatings for medical devices" was invented by Gregory M. Cruise (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.), Steve Plotkin (Beaumont, Calif.) and Petr Vasek (Costa Mesa, Calif.).
