ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,327,120, issued on June 10, was assigned to Microsoft Technology Licensing LLC (Redmond, Wash.).

"Verified stack trace generation and accelerated stack-based analysis with shadow stacks" was invented by Jin Lin (Seattle), Jason Lin (Bellevue, Wash.), Niraj Majmudar (Renton, Wash.) and Mehmet Iyigun (Kirkland, Wash.).
