ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,326,567, issued on June 10, was assigned to Microsoft Technology Licensing LLC (Redmond, Wash.).

"Hinged head-mounted display device" was invented by Weston Taylor Skye (Mountain View, Calif.) and Philip Andrew Frank (Los Gatos, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A disclosed hinge assembly for a head-mounted display device comprises a four-bar linkage. A first linkage of the four-bar linkage is mountable to or forms part of a wearable article for a head of a user.
