ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,277,314, issued on April 15, was assigned to Microsoft Technology Licensing LLC (Redmond, Wash.).

"Touch screen display with virtual trackpad" was invented by Matan Slassi (Tel Aviv, Israel), Dmitry Birenberg (Rosh Ha Ayin, Israel), Gilad Pundak (Rehovot, Israel), Nadav Linenberg (Even Yehuda, Israel) and Andrew Pyon Mittereder (Seattle).
