ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,277,128, issued on April 15, was assigned to Microsoft Technology Licensing LLC (Redmond, Wash.).

"Companion experience" was invented by Sean E. Kollenkark (Seattle), Andrew P. Oakley (Seattle), Cory J. Cirrincione (Bellevue, Wash.), Douglas D. Berrett (Seattle) and Joseph L. McClanahan (Redmond, Wash.).
